Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh Sudah Hilang Rasional

Muhyiddin champion of anti-national, anti-1Malaysia : Kit Siang

All Malaysians want to know whether the scandal of the 46-day inaction by the Najib administration against the two school principals who made incendiary, racist and insensitive statements against students in schools will be top on the agenda of Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting or whether Cabinet Ministers would be like the traditional three monkeys with eyes that see not, ears that hear not and mouths that speak not!

Noises are being made by MCA, Gerakan and MIC outside the Cabinet protesting against the Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement claiming that he is powerless to do anything against the two principals as this falls within the ambit and jurisdiction of the Public Services Department and the Chief Secretary – but all these are empty posturings by these political parties when their Ministers in Cabinet maintain a discreet and self-serving silence on this issue.

Pakatan Rakyat must be prepared for snap 13th general elections to be held in six month

The Mentri Besar of the usurper Barisan Nasional Perak state government, Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir has called on Barisan Nasional component parties to be prepared for snap polls and Barisan Nasional component parties are openly calling on their members to be ready for early general elections next year.

DAP and Pakatan Rakyat must be prepared for snap 13th general elections to be held in six months.

In his 18 months as Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak has launched three major initiatives – 1Malaysia policy; the New Economic Model and on Tuesday, the RM1.4 trillion Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) to achieve a high-income economy by 2020.

No real transformation in ETP, says DAP

By Syed Jaymal Zahiid
KUALA LUMPUR: The Najib administration's ambitious Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) is but a grandiose blueprint that has all but the necessary reforms needed to revitalise the flagging economy, DAP Klang MP and economist Charles Santiago said today.
Santiago said much of the modus operandi of the projects identified in the ETP were carbon copies of those under the Mahathir administration where the economy relied chiefly on pump-priming activities.

"What we are seeing under the ETP is a massive infrastructure roll-up for the next 10 years when we already have excessive property market hangover," he told FMT.

Kit Siang claims ETP just pie in the sky

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — DAP’s Lim Kit Siang claimed today that the Najib administration’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) was rich in rhetoric, business-school clichés and lofty speeches, along with unrealistic assumptions about the country’s economic growth prospects.

He also compared the government’s ambitious programme to that of a command economy and the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s.

Malaysia unveiled yesterday high-aiming plans to boost its economy by mobilising more than a trillion ringgit of private investment, although questions remained over whether the money would materialise.

The plans ranged from a new mass transit system to relieve congestion in Kuala Lumpur, to building a huge oil storage facility next to Singapore to form a regional oil products trading hub.

A casino project in Sabah is also being considered.

The Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) said it had identified investments worth RM1.38 trillion over 10 years, of which 60 per cent would come from the private sector, 32 per cent from government-linked companies and eight per cent from government.

The investment aims to double per capita income and push Malaysia into the ranks of “developed” nations by 2020, rebalancing Asia’s third most export-driven economy towards domestic demand and the service sector.

Lim, however, was unimpressed with Pemandu’s presentation, saying that ETP was based on “unrealistic targets” and failed to address existing government policies which have resulted in the country being caught in a middle-income trap.

DAP: Penafian Ku Nan buktikan Umno, BN masih sokong Perkasa

Perutusan Hari Malaysia

Selamat menyambut Hari Malaysia.

Mahathir is the major obstacle to Najib’s 1Malaysia and National Transformation Agenda

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad blogged on the 53rd National Day eve that “today the races are more divided than ever”.

The implications of Mahathir’s statement merits attention.

Here we have the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister in fact telling the current Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak that despite this year’s Merdeka Month theme: “1Malaysia: Transforming the Nation” and the latter’s 1Malaysia policy and National Transformation Programme for 18 months since assuming the highest office in the land in April last year, national unity and inter-racial relations had never been so bad at present as compared to any time in the 22 years Mahathir had been Prime Minister from 1981 – 2003.
